Prince & Isabelle

When I saw photos of these two horses, I knew I had to paint them. They are pasture mates, Prince and Isabelle. They have a special bond that I wanted to try and capture. The photo, for this painting, was taken by Anne Louise Mac Donald. Anne Louise is a special person with a passion for horses and a vivid imagination. She has worked with animals all her life and currently works part-time caring for critters from fish to rats. The rest of her time is spent writing and enjoying her two horses. She has also published three picture books, two YA novels and a nonfiction picture book for children, illustrated with her photographs. Currently Anne Louise is working on a third novel, teaching Natural Horse & Hoof Care and taking more photos which she shares with the world through her Flickr account and her website, www.hugahorsefarm.com
