Kylie
This is a work in progress of a good dog friend, Kylie. She is a sweet Australian Shepherd and is owned by Jim Ginney, my good friend and painting framer. Kylie is the official studio greeter and it is such fun to see her on my many runs to the framing studio. I still have to add a few changes to Kylie's portrait but the likeness is there so I am pretty happy with the painting for now. I will be adding the final changes in a day or two. Meeting the sweet Kylie has made for, "A Painting Day".
You are invited to:

Ruth, Kylie is beautiful. Love her intense stare and wonder what she is scoping out. Her face is sweet. I can see why you enjoy seeing her at the framers!
Kylie is so beautiful. She has lots of different colors in her fur which makes painting more interesting. And I love those sad eyes!! Well done, Ruth.
She is beautiful! I'm just in love with her expression and the beauty of her coat. Fantastic. :)
She is beautiful and I love the blue eye and colors in the coat :)
You captured her spirit, I think. We have two Australian shepherds, and they are wonderful dogs.
Love the light across the back of her head...she is a cutie, Ruth!
Good luck with your show!!
Gorgeous portrait of Kylie. The eyes say it all... and the strokes of lavender in her pretty mottled fur add a nice touch.
Beau portrait au regard intense...Bises
I love seeing this shepherd, you have captured her beautiful color perfectly. Love it!
So expressive and beautiful, Ruth... And to think, you've captured him on a 6 x 6 canvas !! (we used to have an Australian Shepherd, too) great dogs, except they shed a lot ! ha !
Your animal paintings are truly portraits of very distinct individuals.
I feel as though I know quite a bit about Kylie's personality and vibe from your lovely painting of her.
I love the colors and brush strokes in this, makes me want to pet him! I love Border Collies!
