A Painter's Paint

I previously posted the first painted pass for this painting a week or so ago.  The painting is now completed.  I love the long lean canvas and the contemporary feel it brings to this painting.  The photographer, Judi Zoboll,  allowed use of her photo for reference.  Painting this gorgeous Paint loafing in the pasture made for, "A Painting Day.

The colors are beautiful and I love the softness. I really like the highlights on the mane. Great composition, too!

So misleading in size when viewing on the screen - looks diminutive Ruth. Bet it's very majestic in life - love it!

So stunning! And what a perfect title.

Somehow I missed this when you posted it, so I'm so glad it came up as a footnote to your recent post.
