Deer Crossing - Ruth Andre

"Deer Crossing"
12"x12"x3/4" Mixed Media on Panel
by Ruth Andre

In winter the deer make their home on higher ground but with the change of season the deer will start their trek to the valley in search of sweeter grasses and water. Our horse troughs are full of water and I have seen the deer poke their heads through the fence for a nice long drink. The deer crossing has made for, "A Painting Day".

Lovely shimmering colors with good movement in this one, Ruth.

The deer are moving in on our place recently, wanting to simply camp out on the lawn. I guess they are waiting for my strawberries to grow.

I agree with Theresa, Ruth! The blue really works. Once again, you play the warms and cools against each other -with each other- in a very unique way.
Very nice work.

I think I glimpse their silhouettes moving through the shimmering blue. Very lovely.

I really love the light blue in this.
Do you teach, Ruth?
