"War Bonnet - Sudali"

"War Bonnet - Sudali"
10"x10"x1.5" mixed media on panel
by Ruth Andre

This is number six in the 'War Bonnet' series. There is a scrimmage of forces at work in this painting making for a lively interface. It has been, "A Painting Day"

If you would like to read more about the Cherokee counting language Linda L. Kinyon has written a very informative article. HERE

I do like the liveliness of this one and the contrast of dark and light, along with the ridges of texture. I think this is my new favorite of the War Bonnet series.

Hi Ruth, I really love your 'War Bonnet' series!!! They're beautiful
and I also like the Cherokee counting!
Thanks for your video about using ChicWrap to keep your paints fresh! Here in the Netherlands we have a different brand of wrapping plastic, but since I've begun to use it, my paint stays fresh!
