The Cattlemen's Western Art Show is coming up this week-end in Paso Robles, California. This is the 9th year I have been invited to exhibit my western paintings. There will be 50 artists from across the country showing April 4th - 6th. The reception is Friday night and it is always a lively event.

The painting above, "Red Roan" will be the centerpiece of my booth at the Cattlemen's Western Art Show with horses, cows and a couple of landscape paintings hanging by her side. Come and enjoy the show as I have enjoyed

Wow, Ruth. I hadn't seen Red Roan before. Beautiful work. Good luck at the show...I know this and your other paintings will be a hit!
I love the size of this one! Is this a new one? I haven't seen it before either, it's fantastic! I hope you have lots of fun at the show!
This is a beautiful piece, Ruth. I've missed seeing your realism.
Bruce, Thank-you for checking in to see my latest post. Glad you like the Red Roan.
Diana, It is a struggle to be neither fish nor fowl. I love working with my animal portraits and i love contemporary abstract painting as well. The two styles are quite different in attitude and execution. I do appreciate your comment very much.
pretty nice blog, following :)
Skyline, How good to hear you like "A Painting Day". I do enjoy posting the new works and giving them a voice to tell their story. Thanks for following.
