"Rock Shelter"

The word, "Shelter" has embraced my thinking and painting. This painting may be the beginning of a new series called, "SHELTER". I am thinking of the many forms of shelter that surround me and how I might paint them. Living in the valley under the shear quartz mountain rocks that surround the valley is the inspiration for the painting today. It has been, "A Painting Day".

Perfect!
I totally love the colors, Ruth...but on top of that, I find the horizontal composition and the placement of major elements striking. This is a favorite.
