I have been compiling notes today regarding what abstract painting means to me. Painting abstractly is the essence of freedom using color and composition to give the painting life. I also believe that an abstract painting has the possibility to be viewed in more than one direction. The three images above are all the same painting but each view takes on a completely different look. The painting allows for a personal decision on how and where it will be hung. Enjoy the views.

You always have the best colors!
Hi Sue, Thank-you for the comment regarding my palette. The painting is rather moody but I like how it draws me into it.
Bonjour chère amie,
Oui, elle déclenche des émotions et on peut ainsi s'approprier l'oeuvre...
Joli travail.

Martine, Thank-you for your thoughts on this painting. Very insightful!
Hi Ruth, you are right about what you write regarding abstract artwork there are many ways at looking at it and appreciating it too. I love the colours in your winter sage painting, I use my imagination and see lots of things mostly water and reeds yet most of all the feeling of being by water and the way the colours merge into the water from the greenery of plants and trees around it.
Caroline, It is good to read what you see in the "Winter Sage" painting. I love your interpretation. Thank-you.
These soothing images you've created are like a relaxing afternoon in the pool.
Diana, Thanks for stopping by and leaving such a nice comment.
