Night Sky - Ruth Andre

"Night Sky"
4.5"x4.5" Oil and Mixed Media on Paper

On Hold

A favorite time comes when the day is gone and the sky lights up to show its spectacular beauty. The sun slides behind the mountains and the sky is almost dark except for a burst of bright colors of the setting sun. All is quiet with the fall of night. It has been, "A Painting Day".

Night Sky - When I review an abstract - the 1st thing I look for ... if it is present ... is impact. Does the painting 'read' quickly ... does it bypass the mental judgement gatekeepers and just ... grab you. Night Sky might not appeal to everyone ... however ... for those who succumb to it's power ... this is a must have painting or print. Kudos.

I find your night painting both restful and exciting, the red that is on the outer areas and appears within the painting adds a gentle drama. I feel as if I am looking out of my window into the night and see interesting shapes and ideas!
