War Bonnet - Talisgohi - Ruth Andre

"War Bonnet - Talisgohi"
16"x16"x2" oil & mixed media on panel
by Ruth Andre

The painting today is the 20th painting in the "War Bonnet" series. Painting this series has been a most interesting journey and one that I treasure. The trail of the "War Bonnet" series leaves us with the feeling of the desert winds blowing the sands of time.

"War Bonnet - Galiquadu II"

This has not only been A Painting Day it has been A Painting Week-End. All is quiet here at home so I have stollen away to the studio. This painting, Number 17 of the "War Bonnet" series, is a little bigger and it gives such energy as it reins over the studio. Loving the quiet that has giving me,
"A Painting Day".

"War Bonnet - Hisgadu"

"War Bonnet - Hisgadu"
12"x12"x2" Oil & Mixed Media on Panel
by Ruth Andre

I like the intensity and the quiet of the painted palette in this painting. It may actually be a study for a larger work in the next couple of days. The reds are just too hard to resist painting with them again.
"War Bonnet - Hisgadu" is the fifteenth painting in the "War Bonnet" series. I am looking forward to the long week-end and, "A Painting Day".

War Bonnet - Sgohi by Ruth Andre

"War Bonnet - Sgohi"

This painting, "War Bonnet - Sgohi", is  #10 in the "War Bonnet" series. I have to say the painting took many turns and I thought it was done at one point before my morning break. The painting was mostly red at that point but after returning to my studio I started painting once again. Then I threw the studio windows open and enjoyed the quiet breezes as they drifted through the studio. I think the painting is telling its own story about the day and has made for a, "A Painting Day".
