As an artist one hopes to grow as you continue to paint and gain confidence to try new things. The 'Native of the Plains' painting is one I feel as if I have taken a 'next step' with my painting and have freed my brushes to let them flow. The image is of a wild Mustang stallion that is still able to roam freely in the open plains. May the wild horse be allowed to live as they have for centuries on the land where they were born. Thinking of the wild Mustangs made for, "A Painting Day".

Native of the Plains is beautiful and, indeed, the brush work feels very free. I love the wildness of the mane and the blue highlights in it. Also love the touches of bright orange on his coat.
Love your perspective and the looser brushwork. Such great energy. You are a master with your beloved horses!
This is beautiful and does feel looser and freer. I love that you are challenging yourself and always growing. You have a gift of painting horses especially like no other and need to keep sharing that. I think I choose tough things myself but love the learning and growing also.
