Scout

This is a painting of a Paint that lives on a beautiful ranch in Utah.  My friend and fellow artist, Brent Flory, sent me a few photos of the horses on his ranch and this one caught my eye.  The horse has a majestic look with the back light catching his mane.  Paints with their unusual color patterns are always a delight to see.  Painting Scout made for, "A Painting Day".

You give the animals you paint such a well deserved majestic feel. Beautiful!

I agree, you do have a way of capturing them so wonderfully in your art.

I love the way he is looking off into the distance. Beautiful lighting, too!

Oh, Ruth, this is so beautiful! It brings me right back to when I first moved to RI, there was a farm with about 4 of these horses - I used to drive out of my way to look at them! Never took photos (silly) and now they've been sold off. Do him again!!!

You always show just enough of an animal, never too much! From what we see, Ruth, the character of this lovely animal comes through!
