I really love these dark paintings. Love the touch of pink.

Hi Sue, I just recently started using cold wax with my oil paints. It is a most interesting medium. I am learning and liking the cold wax very much.

really lovely Ruth. reminds me of reflected willow branches. I've always thought using cold wax looked interesting and you've got great depth with it.

Thank-you, Mary. I too thought it looked like willow branches down at the creek. Take care.

Such a wonderfully evocative painting.
Perhaps you might tell a bit more about the cold wax medium in your blog?

Well Ruth, you've done it again. I'm awestruck and that doesn't happen often. Love all the subtle colour nuances. I wonder if you can use cold wax with Acrylic. I also wonder if you have to keep the finished paintings out of the heat because I've stayed away from if being worried about permanence.

Shirley, I will gather my links together for cold wax and post them in my next blog. Thank-you for your comment.

Sea, Cold-Wax is a new medium for me but from what I understand it is pretty sturdy and will hold up well but it is not recommended to hang works in a direct sun area. I also believe the cold wax medium is to be used with oils. Let me get some links together to share. Thank-you for your comment.
