"Into the Night - Campsite"

Today's painting is quite minimal and graphic using a subbed palette. I remember my first design class in graphic design and the project was to paint with just black on white. This painting has added color but the minimal design is strong. This may also be the beginning of a new series called, "Into the Night". The name has been percolating on the back burner and when I went to the studio today the painting presented itself. It has been, "A Painting Day".

Perfect title for a strong painting.
Such a strong piece. There is so much depth and texture.
I love the way you have used such strong value contrast in this one, and particularly like that white square at the top in juxtaposition with all the dark.
