"Cloudy Day I"
4.5"x4.5" oil & cold wax on paper

Challenge Painting Six
Spring has been unusually cool this year. The days have been just lovely often overcast and cloudy bringing a few unexpected rain showers our way. Walking to my studio often sets my mind in motion for what I want to paint that day. The valley is alive with its own constant change of motion. The valley breathes its own air as the wind flows through touching everything as it passes. Living tucked away in the back country gives way to see and feel the quiet of the valley. Life in the valley has made for,
"A Painting Day".
I will be showing these new Paint on Paper Paintings with mats and frames soon. A trip to the framer to pick up beautifully hand cut mats and professionally made frames should be coming at the end of this week. I am looking forward to see these little wisps of paint in a proper format.

This painting is a beautiful little gem with wonderful colors and textures. I love reading about your valley and your descriptions make me feel like I have seen it, even though I've never been there. You are a very talented painter and writer!
Delicate and thought provoking. I particularly enjoy this painting, Ruth.
Theresa, I do appreciate your comment regarding my painting and my writing. The valley has inspired many of my paintings. Thank-you.
Bruce, This painting will be followed in today's post by "Cloudy DayII" later today. I am so glad to hear you like the painting.
