A Painting Day - Red Moon I - Ruth Andre

"Red Moon I"
12"x12" on Paper
by Ruth Andre

I have been working on a special project for over a week and have more to go before the needed paintings are completed. This is the first painting to show itself for the series. Just so you know, I am working hard and hope you are TOO!
It has been, "A Painting Day".

Gros bisous ♡

Martine: I did not see the eclipse of the moon on Monday morning ... I had just spent a very bad night ...
The latter painting makes me think this missed eclipse ...
Bright colors and ... both enigmatic ...

Big kisses ♡

Ruth: Martine, Thank-you for reminding me of the Red Moon. I have been painting with the news and finally actually being able to see the Red Moon. Maybe I should rename the series? I will think about that because the influence is there. Thank-you so much. Ruth

Ruth, I really like this one. You know me, I love your mastery of colors. Normally it's your subtle grays that really impress me, but this one jumped off the page. There's nothing subtle about it. It almost glows! Great work!

Bruce, This new Red Moon Series really does glow. It shows so much better in person than the photos online. I am glad for your response regarding the painting. Thank-you so much for commenting. Ruth
