Montana Blue
The studio is buzzing today with several paintings in different stages of completion. Cooper is waiting patiently for his next coat of color. I had an idea in my head and just had to give it a try. Sometimes you cannot wait to work efficiently you just go for it. I wanted to push myself out of my subtle color palette and see what it would be like to paint something a bit wild. I am experimenting and plan to send this painting on to be judged for a show in Albuquerque. Going a bit Wild has made for, "A Painting Day".

I like the wild blue color for a wild natured guy... cool!
I like the wild colors on him also! Really interesting and gives him a bit of an edge against the background that is fabulous...
The pink light on the back of the blue bison looks surprisingly true and natural. Vivid and beautiful too.
Hi Ruth,
I have been visiting your blog, your work is beautiful. I love what you do with your paintings of animals. And Montana Blue is striking!
Sue.
Love it!!!
It's great to step out the box from time to time Ruth. I usually do it with my landscapes haven't been brave enough yet with the horses e.t.c.
Very striking!
Love the textural feeling of your brushwork, Ruth. I can almost feel that fur!
Votre touche de pinceau pour travailler le pelage de ce bison est très bien à propos.
Bisous
