Valley Elk

This is another painting entry for the Elk Foundation.  It is of a handsome bull elk.  I am so taking by the beauty of the wild and majestic elk.  My studio has a variety of paintings of wild creatures at the moment.  It is like my own private world in nature. Painting wildlife has made for, "A
Painting Day".

My first visit here after seeing you as a new follower on my blog. You do some lovely work! Your Roaney painting looks just like my filly Velvet.

Ruth, you are amazing. I can't believe how prolific you are and yet all your paintings look so fresh and spontaneous looking. Do you ever sleep?

By the way, I miss your beautiful weavings. I am so glad that I have the 4 that I do. I just wish I would have gotten a large one when I had the chance.

Wonderful profile of this fellow. I like your color choice for the background too, it creates a nice silhouette.
