The wild grasses and underbrush give camouflage and hiding for the wildlife as they move around the ranch. The ground squirrels, dove and quail scurry from place to place for shelter when a hawk soars overhead. It sometimes feels like I am living in a wildlife santuary. It has been, "A Painting Day".

I like the way you have let some of the painting underneath show through the brown. Really does give the feeling of underbrush.

Theresa, Thank-you for your comment. We live in the foothills and with the heat of summer we have to keep the underbrush under control. It is a constant summer exercise. The painting is a reflection of ranch work.
