Moving back to the abstract is exciting and challenging all in one. Images transform themselves, meaning they feel just a step away. My mind is set in one direction and then another image takes its place. Layers of paint have transformed this little painting into a more cerebral work than my first graphic intent. I also used gold oil paint giving the nugget size work a rich quality. It has been,

Theresa, This work is influenced by the "Gold Rush" history here in the Sutter Creek. The miners were here at the creek's edge panning for gold.
