I was heading to the airport after a week of painting in Fredericksburg, Texas and on the way I decided to stop at the LBJ Farm off of Hwy 290. The farm looks as if time has stood still since the early 1900's. It was a serene setting with old barns and outbuildings and an abundance of trees surrounding them. I chose to paint a cluster of old oak trees. Traveling the roads of Texas made for, "A Painting Day".

Beautiful job on this! Conveys wonderful atmosphere!
You are an amazing artist, Ruth. This painting is so soft and wonderful and Baby Blue is beautiful.. but when I saw Rain in the morning...I was back a few times to look at it. I was so impressed with this painting...it is perfect! I'm looking forward to your next work.
I'm loving your tree series. I see you got a little crazy with the latest one on Fresh Paint, "A shady spot". Love them all!
Nice, soft color and overall harmony.
Thank-you so much for your comments. They are much appreciated.
