Miss Piggy - Ruth Andre

"Miss Piggy"
6"x6" oil on canvas
by Ruth Andre

This little pig is a commission that has been on the back burner for awhile. It is going to Texas to be with her brother, another piggy painting by yours truly. I do hope this is the last pig painting for a long while. Love the critters but I am pigged out. It has been, "A Piggy Painting Day".

Wind & Rain - Ruth Andre

"Rain & Wind"
24"x24"x1.5" oil & mixed media on panel
by Ruth Andre

Feeling close to nature is not always visual. There are times when the wind currents send a warning of a coming storm. As the wind rushes by you know it is time to make a dash for cover or stay put and feel the pelting rain and be washed by the heavens.

Rain Spirits - Ruth Andre

The windows are wide open in the studio today. The weather is really too beautiful to ignore with the sun warming the earth. We have had a few rain showers that have made the valley come alive with green grasses. It feels like home once again. At least for now all is well. The painting today is in celebration of the spring rains and the rain spirits that bring us such beauty. Lately I have been caught up with the beauty of the valley. Winter has been harsher than most this year and spring is more meaningful than usual. The image above has been taken from my website since I could NOT get the image to load showing its true color. Maybe the spirits have found, "A Painting Day".

Sky - Ruth Andre

"Sky"
6"x6" oil on canvas
by Ruth Andre

Just when you thought all the horses had been put out to pasture another one appears. I have been invited for the 8th time to the Cattlemen's Western Art Show Sale in Paso Robles, California. The Cattlemen's show has invited 50 Western Artists to show the week-end, April 4th-April 6th. The turnout is always lively with patrons from the Paso Robles area and with folks that visit from different parts of the country to see the show. It is always fun seeing the art of the other artists and catching up with them as the week-end gallops along. You are welcome so set the date for, "A Painting Day".
