Cattlemen's Western Art Show & Sale - Ruth Andre

The Cattlemen's Western Art Show is coming up this week-end in Paso Robles, California. This is the 9th year I have been invited to exhibit my western paintings. There will be 50 artists from across the country showing April 4th - 6th. The reception is Friday night and it is always a lively event.

Just when you thought all the horses had been put out to pasture another one appears. I have been invited for the 8th time to the Cattlemen's Western Art Show Sale in Paso Robles, California. The Cattlemen's show has invited 50 Western Artists to show the week-end, April 4th-April 6th. The turnout is always lively with patrons from the Paso Robles area and with folks that visit from different parts of the country to see the show. It is always fun seeing the art of the other artists and catching up with them as the week-end gallops along. You are welcome so set the date for, "A Painting Day".

Photo-Less Monday - Ruth Andre

I have seen blog posts where the title is, "Wordless Friday or Wordless Wednesday". Well this post is "Photo-Less Monday". I took off for the Cattlemen's Western art show without my camera. I know not a good thing to do. So the show news is rather limited except for the fact I met a lot of great people and got to see a lot of great art. I also sold a few paintings so you know that is a happy event in itself. Artists love to get feed back about their art and when someone just cannot live without a painting that you just happen to have for sale, your day is complete. The trip to Paso Robles was also a bit of a vacation. Walking downtown and having dinner at the very nice Robert's  restaurant made for a lovely evening. A stop at the the Chocolate Factory after dinner made it even better. It was good to get away and it made me love having many, "A Painting Day".

Prairie Wild - Ruth Andre

I am dusting off my cowboy boots and packing my fancy skirts to head down to Paso Robles for the
Cattlemen's Western Art Show & Sale. The show starts off with a reception Friday night 5:00-9:00 PM and  continues on Saturday 10:00-5:00 PM and Sunday 10:00 to 3:30 PM. It is always a fun show.  This will be my fifth visit to the Cattlemen's gala event.  If you are a local to Paso Robles or just visiting please stop by the show and say, hello. There will be 60 artists represented. You will see what it takes to make,
"A Painting Day".

Sonnet - Ruth Andre

Spring is springing with The Cattlemen's Western Art Show coming up in Paso Robles at the end of March and the Reflections of Nature show in Fallbrook, CA May 4,5 & and 6. The Cattlemen's Show paintings are completed and are being framed. I need a few more paintings for the Reflections of Nature exhibit and worked on this sweet sheep painting today. I am thinking today's work is the study for a larger painting but we shall see? Thinking spring made for, "A Painting Day".
