When I saw this old house it reminded me of the homesteads I have visited that once belonged to my grandparents in Southern Illinois. It also reminded me of home and how wonderful it is to go back home for the holidays to be with family and friends. Thinking about times past made for, "A Painting Day.

You are refining and perfecting your palette knife plein airs with each new work. Wonderful harmony of colors and great addition of delicate leaf and trunk shapes. The house, of course, tells the story.
