Shaded Oaks

I met with a local group of artists and we headed for Amador Lake here in the foothills.  It was a perfect day and just out side my oak covered covey I saw this group of oaks in the shade of the mountain.  I loved the blues and greens and the subtle grays I saw while painting the oaks.  There is  nothing quite like painting outside from life.  There are so many colors to be found.  Being on the lake in Amador made for, "A Painting Day".

Your landscapes are beautiful. I'm glad you're posting them so we can see them! I love the loose brushstrokes and subtle colors that give such a soft, atmospheric effect.

These two landscapes are so nice. Ditto to what Theresa said.
Good luck with your doctoring.
