"Playmate"

This little painting was an absolute ball to paint.  I used a palette knife and lots and lots of paint.  The style is quite a departure from my more realistic painting and I found it a great way to warm up and start thinking color and shape.  Finding the palette knife made for, "A Painting Day".

You got a lot of great texture and yet were still able to put the detail in. Glad you had fun! Hope you will do more!

So wonderful! This makes me want to try some palette knife painting too. I love the way the color mixes as it spreads. It looks like a lot of fun and the result is truly captivating.
