While the Paint Dries

Today as I was driving home from town and I stopped in the road as it crossed through the Rancheria Creek not far from the house to take this photo.  The sun was shining making for a lovely day.  The creek is seasonal and can get very high with the winter rains.  Even with a 4 wheel drive vehicle the creek is impassable but luckily we have another way out of the valley on those very wet days.  In the summer months the creek bed is dry.  It is beautiful no matter the season.  I should be back in the studio tomorrow and hopefully will finish a painting or two that are in progress.  Living in the back country makes for, "A Painting Day".

what a peaceful setting! I would love to sit in that creek and weave. So glad you have gorgeous scenes like this to choose from in painting.
