Paladin

This has been one of the wettest days here on the little Ponderosa.  I have been fighting water going over the creek banks and coming down off the mountain moving through the outside horse stalls.  When not getting wet I have been snug in my studio painting this handsome Palomino Stallion, Paladin.  I was thinking this would make a nice large painting but wanted to paint it as a study first to see how I liked the composition.  Staying out of the rain made for, "A Painting Day".

Ils sont si beaux tes chevaux ma chère Ruth...
Finalement je vais bénir cette pluie qui t'oblige a rester dans ton atelier et à peindre de si belles oeuvres...

Beautiful, Ruth! I love your color layers, and interesting composition. I for one think this would make a lovely large piece. Just returned home after a visit to Fairfield and San Francisco visiting friends and family. Rain almost every day! We had fun in spite of it, though!

Lovely study Ruth. Soft silky looking hair, with dreamy eyes... looking forward to seeing in a larger version.

I love the far-away look in his eye and of course your always wonderful brushwork! You really captured his sweet nature.

Ce Palomino est juste magnifique. C'est de loin la race que je préfère. Les tons sont superbes et le regard parfait, j'adore.
