Wind Chime - Ruth Andre

"Wind Chime" 4x12 inches oil on canvas by Ruth Andre

I think of the sound of the leaves as they wrestle about when the valley winds pick up as another sign of fall's fast approach. The painting is shown as one unit and below each unit stands on its own. Hearing the quiet chatter from the leaves playing in the wind has made for, "A Painting Day".

I love the blues and violets in this, combined with the interesting texture.

I like this very much. It reminds me of looking through those old insulated glass blocks, like these. http://www.bing.com/images/search?q=glass+blocks&view=detail&id=69D9E3DCD9CCB93F2C885D6DB1CDF6B0D7BF8E1E&first=702
