Follow the Fence Line

Here is one more painting from my outing over the week-end.  I love the old oaks and the fence posts that sway this way and that as they move up the hillside.  This is Peggy's home place, my neighbor, just east of where I live.   My view in any direction is one of peace and tranquility and has made for,
 "A Painting Day".

"Follow the Fence Line" 6x8 inches, o/c by Ruth Andre

Ruth, I saw your name on Artist.Blog.Critique where he wrote about your abstract palette knife painting. Whaaat?
I've been away too long. I love these pieces and they look like you had fun painting them too!

When I see your email "a painting day" pop up in my inbox, I often tell myself "No comment for me this time. I'm commenting too much."
But I simply have to comment yet again! I so like the juxtaposition of the strong palette knife texture with the nuanced line of fencepost and tree trunk. And it's a lovely overall composition.
