Here is one more painting from my outing over the week-end. I love the old oaks and the fence posts that sway this way and that as they move up the hillside. This is Peggy's home place, my neighbor, just east of where I live. My view in any direction is one of peace and tranquility and has made for,

I've been away too long. I love these pieces and they look like you had fun painting them too!
When I see your email "a painting day" pop up in my inbox, I often tell myself "No comment for me this time. I'm commenting too much."
But I simply have to comment yet again! I so like the juxtaposition of the strong palette knife texture with the nuanced line of fencepost and tree trunk. And it's a lovely overall composition.
These palette knife landscapes just keep getting better and better! Keep 'em coming Ruth! LOVE this one; it's my new favorite :)
